The battle that was won...

Around 12:00pm today when I learned about the passing of the Filipino King of Rap, Francis Magalona...Upon learning about the sad news, memories of the never ending battle towards Filipino patriotism flashed into my mind. For quite a long time since our full independence, we Filipinos have been trying to know our own distinguished heritage...A quest that to some, has been a losing battle. Not Francis M! For in his own way of patriotism, he was able to convey specially to the new generation of Filipinos the reason for loving our country. A cry that is now so seldom to be heard from the current distinguished personalities in the Philippines. So in my own simple way, I would like to pay tribute to the man who enlivens the bravery of our Heroes. The courage to face a losing battle with a smile...
